There are two types of people: those who know Jurgen Van Steen and those who have yet to meet him. To the unacquainted, this issue will soon be resolved: if you don’t see Jurgen, you’ll definitely hear him. Just look around, and you’ll easily spot that flamboyant figure in a brightly colored vest. That’s Jurgen.
But those who do know Jurgen, have encountered him before, or have worked with him for some time, know that beneath that vest is a passionate networker. Jurgen has been a member of BNI for almost seven years and has been the regional director of Antwerp for the last five years – initially with Erik Arnout and since April 2022, on his own.
Professionally, Jurgen also boasts an impressive resume. He has worked nationally and internationally in marketing environments for over 20 years, where he was very skilled at developing business plans, a specialty, so to speak. For the last eight years, he and his wife Peggy have successfully run a distinctive art gallery in Antwerp’s Kloosterstraat. Don’t be mistaken, inside the extroverted marketer lies a pure art enthusiast.
Jurgen is as focused as he is candid, always up for a good debate but open to every opinion. And, actually, he’s kind of the mascot of the Antwerp region.
